Kursk Campaign Continued

Kursk Campaign Continued

Postby eorltheyoung » 16 Jul 2017

A few snaps of another game in our irregular Northern Sector Kursk Campaign.

A strongpoint assault game in which the German 6th Infantry Division dished out a sound thrashing to their Soviet opposites in the 15th Division around Tagino. Quite a reversal of fortunes from our previous games.

A very infantry heavy game with three full platoons on each side. It made a nice change from the usual tank-fests. Apologies for still not having a lot of the infantry figures based...

These snaps are from the first few turns, after which I forgot to keep taking photos

Very nice looking game with an authentic feel to it. Particularly like the trench system and lay-out generally.

Thanks guys! The trench system was off a guy on ebay. I think he still sells them and they were very reasonably priced.

The KV2 is a bit underwhelming. Like real life I suppose. It looks very imposing but it always runs out of ammo or breaks down  I don't have a huge amount of toy soldiers though so it gets fielded more than it probably should. Always a good unit for a laugh though
