Fall of the Reich Campaign Weekend

Fall of the Reich Campaign Weekend

Postby Brodir » 15 Nov 2016

So, in January, we'll be running the next BG campaign weekend. 4 games over 2 days at Battlefield Hobbies in Daventry. Tickets for Allies (US or Brits) and Germans, 500 pts FotR forces in 20mm, to see if the last defenders can hold out in the Mundenberg Pocket. It'll be the best yet I think.

Anyone interested in coming along to play can get tickets through Battlefield Hobbies Events page. :good: See you there.

Expecting great event once again. It seems we are managing to get 3-4 players from Finland to participate once again. Soon we will see if I'm as lucky with German rabble as i was with Russian ones...

Hi this looks great - is it aimed at experienced Battlegroup players?

Aimed at anyone. It's a very relaxed style of play.

I'm hoping to get over for it...

I think 3 of us have booked already. One needs to sort vacation from work. I will be having a hard work since I will be ski hunting birds for week before the event and will fly straight from the hunting trip to England. I hope I won't be too tired to play, those are not easy trips

No, we've had a few players playing their first games in the past. Obviously experience helps when it comes to winning, but all sides have their tougher generals and others less so, like real life really. But all arw wecome and for those who need some instruction, well I'm there to help out.

Had a fabulous weekend, despite trying to aid the Allies by coming second in all of my four games

A narrow win for the Germans in the end, so I don't have the burden of contributing to a defeat

I would like to thank Warwick, my fellow players and opposing generals for making it such an enjoyable time, also Battlefield Hobbies for a splendid venue.

Warwick will be posting a report in due course I believe, but in the meantime here are pics of some of the games on Sunday morning, you can see my Hetzers burning nicely on the left of the first picture.

Holy Shit. 600 points apparently buys you a LOT of Churchills

It was only 500pts, but it still buys 7 Churchills! I had 4 armoured cars as well.
