Basing 20mm

Basing 20mm

Postby Toimisto » 06 Aug 2017

I have been searching for affordable round metal bases for 20mm, does anyone know where i might find them, washers seem too thick for me and everywhere i look only rectangular bases are offered.

I use coins.

PRECISION WARGAMES SUPPLIES do nice round galvanised steel bases, not sure if they count as affordable or not rather depends on your budget

Piers uses 2 eurocent coins, I've gone even cheaper and smaller and use 1 eurocent coins, and that works perfectly fine too. Washers can't beat that unless you order a ton of them at once.

OP seems to want something thinner than washers which coins are not generally even though they are the cheapest option.

You may need to look at brass washers if you want thin. Whether this sort of thing is still widely available is another matter, alas. Might be worth trying specialist plumbing suppliers. I will try to remember to pop into my local one tomorrow and ask.

Thanks for the links i ordered some from: Productsforwargamers, also found 1.6mm thick flat washers as here in Finland we do not use 1 or 2 cent coins so sourcing them would be difficult.
