I believe only 65 Mk 1 were produced but 655 Mk 11. Since most of the Mk 1s went to France and it is reported only 7 cruisers of all types (inc A9 and A10) came back there could only have been a very few that could have gone to N Africa. Probably you need Peter Brown's book on the A13 but it seems to go for around £40 upwards

Or you need to find someone who has Peter Brown's series of articles in Military Modelling and get them to look it up for you.

I have read the MK1 saw service with the 2nd and 7th armd divs, but was withdrawn from service in 1941 due to it's poor armour. It was the M2 that was used and more common.

If there were 8 i doubt there would be any photos of it,that was over 70yrs ago and cameras were not as common then as they are now. Unless it drove in front of someone with a camera and providing that person took a photo of it you won't find any. I was talking to Alan on here about the Sdkfz263,they were in Normandy, but no photos of them because there were not many of them. I would go for the MK11,there were more of those. Did you by any chance buy a MK1 and are hoping it was used.

Even the few Covenantors that got there eventually showed up on film but those took a long time to surface. I've never seen a photo of an A13 Mark I in North Africa but one may eventually appear too.

Nothing to do with your question but I did find this one on the internet.'From Beutepanzer and apparently from 1943 or 1944, possibly serving with the Croatians.. http://beutepanzer.ru/Beutepanzer/uk/A13/a-13.htm

That one is being used by the Germans to train Croatians in tank destruction.

They could well have been using a winch to pull it across the "course", something they did in Normandy to set Flak traps for Jabo.
