As long as the colour combo looks pretty good/realistic the painted pattern is not that important.

What youve painted so far looks SS :good:
The only thing to look forward to… is the past.

Cheers, I used the AK interactive Waffen SS Spring/Summer set, so that's come out okayish.... :thumbsup:

Will try some M44 set next.... ;)

Rob, ta for the pics, I struggle to replicate the oak leaf pattern let alone the plane tree... :grin: I guess planetree is less fine? Think my best bet is to use the colours to define the pattern as you say rather than replicate the actual pattern, which I can't... :doh:

Definitely a fan of your models with the brighter colors at this scale. I think your pattern looks good, and again, I think replicating the actual pattern at this scale is a bit bonkers. As others have said, if it looks like SS camo, job's a good 'un!

I often thought that big scale (28mm or bigger) paint schemes didn't always looked "right" on small scale minis. i think it's a matter of light, the sun doesn"t hit the figure the same way, and the colors looks diferent. Personaly, I always take some online tutorials, and then make my own soup to find the way I like (not necessary the most realistic, but the way I prefer).
