6 Pounders

6 Pounders

Postby forrester » 17 May 2017

I confess to being usually not very enthused about towed AT guns.
However, having got a box of Valiant 6 pdr's in a sale I decided to do some upgrading.

Once, I had two Airfix 6 pdr's and carriers.
I replaced the crews.
I replaced the carriers with Loyds.
I replaced the guns.
The only bits remaining now are the old guns, done as towed versions.
Crews are a mix of old FAA and new Empress.

I'm following a similar route, Airfix, then the Esci 6 pdr from the hard plastic 8th Army set and next will be the PSC Lloyd and 6 pdr.

Good work.

Which is what I'm aiming for.
I used to have EVERY figure singly based, but while that's still the case for infantry I'm generally doing guns and supports all on one base..it's less fiddly and looks nicer.
Thanks for the kind comments on this and other recent posts.
